The Market Tap in Pocklington Named CAMRA’s Spring 2025 Pub of the Season
We’re incredibly proud to announce that The Market Tap, our cosy and characterful Brew York venue in the heart of Pocklington, has been named CAMRA’s Town & Country Pub of the Season for Spring 2025 by the York Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
This marks the second time Brew York has received this honour, following the Taproom and Beer Hall in York, which was awarded CAMRA’s City Pub of the Season in November 2024. We’re thrilled to see two of our venues recognised within just a few months – a huge credit to the amazing teams who bring these spaces to life.
This seasonal accolade is awarded four times a year by CAMRA’s York Branch to local pubs that consistently deliver exceptional real ale, offer a welcoming environment, and go the extra mile to champion local beer culture. We’re incredibly grateful to the volunteers at CAMRA for their continued support of the region’s independent pubs and breweries.
The Market Tap has become a popular fixture in Pocklington’s vibrant market square. The venue offers a rotating selection of our freshest Brew York beers – including cask, keg, and small-batch specials – alongside guest lines from other top-notch breweries and an ever-expanding fridge of takeout cans.
As well as great beer, the venue also serves up mouth-watering Asian-inspired dishes from YUZU Street Food, offering everything from bao buns and loaded fries to flavour-packed rice bowls – the perfect pairing for a fresh pint.
The award was officially presented by CAMRA representatives on Saturday 5th April, with plenty of locals and beer lovers joining in to raise a glass.
