Brew York Announces New Venues in Scarborough and Carlton Towers Estate
Brew York is excited to unveil the next phase in its ambitious expansion plans with the launch of two brand-new venues:
Brew+Bao: Scarborough, a coastal outpost for its fast-growing street food and craft beer concept.
Brew York x Carlton Towers Taproom, a unique collaboration with the prestigious Carlton Towers Estate in North Yorkshire.
Brew+Bao: Scarborough
Following the success of Brew+Bao sites in Chapel Allerton and Knaresborough, Brew York is taking its bold fusion of Asian-inspired street food and craft beer to the Yorkshire coast. The new venue, Brew+Bao: Scarborough, will open soon on York Place, taking over the former Storm Bar location.

Guests can expect the signature Brew+Bao experience – juicy bao buns, gyoza, loaded fries, and a rotating line-up of craft beers, curated cocktails, wines, and spirits, all served in a vibrant, laid-back setting.
“We’ve been blown away by the response to Brew+Bao so far, and we’re excited to be opening our third site,” said Wayne Smith, Managing Director of Brew York. “It’s a stunning location with a strong community and the perfect vibe for what we’re all about – great beer, incredible food, and good times.”
Later this year, Brew+ is also set to open its fourth and largest site to date at the historic Goole Market Hall, expanding the brand’s reach while continuing to celebrate unique Yorkshire locations.

Brew York x Carlton Towers Taproom
This summer, Brew York is proud to announce a new chapter in its journey with the launch of Brew York at Carlton Towers Taproom, a unique collaboration with the stunning Carlton Towers Estate in North Yorkshire.

Set within the stunning Grade I listed estate with over 1,000 years of history, this new venue blends the bold character of Brew York beers with one of Yorkshire’s most iconic heritage settings. Formerly home to Little Black Dog Brewery, the site will be lovingly refreshed to create a welcoming taproom experience rooted in community, craft, and charm.

“We’re genuinely excited to be working with the team at Carlton Towers on this special project,” said Wayne Smith, Co-Director at Brew York. “We are really sad that our friends at Little Black Dog Brewery were unable to keep the venue open but really want to build upon the great work Nigel & Christine have already done to make the venue a thriving community hub. The estate is a beautiful and historic setting, and we see a huge opportunity to create something really special here — combining our love of craft beer with the charm and character of the local area.”
The taproom will showcase Brew York’s full range of flavour-forward beers alongside food, events, and estate-led collaborations — with future plans to host festivals, support local producers, and offer experiences that reflect the values both brands share.

A full refurbishment is scheduled for early 2026, but Brew York plans to reopen the venue in the coming weeks under its management.
