We are thrilled to announce a major new partnership with York City Football Club. The new deal includes sponsorship of the South Stand and the launch of a locally brewed, limited edition York City Centenary Ale.
The officially named Brew York South Stand will soon feature large format banners that will incorporate a continued dedication to the memory of David Longhurst. Our brand will also feature in new advertising boards situated throughout the Brew York South Stand corridor and a series of online campaigns.
To celebrate the new partnership, we have produced a limited-edition Centenary Ale which is available to pre-order now on the football club main website here. Available in cases of 12 x 440ml cans, this fruity 3.7% ABV York City Centenary branded session ale is the perfect Christmas gift for any beer-loving City fan. The ale is currently in production and all pre-orders will be shipped out to supporters from 28th November.
Speaking about the new partnership, Brew York co-owner Lee Grabham said,
“As City fans it is a huge honour for us to produce the club’s Centenary Ale and sponsor the Brew York South Stand. We are hugely proud of our home city, so naturally we are really excited to be working with the football club and look forward to bringing some festive cheer to our fellow supporters.”
York City FC Marketing Director Mike Brown commented,
“Bringing together the football club’s iconic Centenary brand with a quality ale, produced by a renowned local brewery is truly a marriage made in heaven. It has been a real pleasure to work on this fantastic partnership with the Brew York team and we thank them for their amazing support.”
Councillor Nigel Ayre, Executive Member for Finance and Major Projects said,
“The whole city can be very proud that these two great York institutions have been able to agree this exciting partnership. In the coming together of York City Football Club at the Community Stadium and Brew York we can all share the real sense of local pride and local community investment which has driven the council’s commitment to the stadium from the very beginning. My congratulations go to both partners, and it’s extremely heartening to see the Council’s investment delivering for local businesses, local sport and local people in this way.”
We are working with the club on a number of special projects and look forward to making further announcements in due course.
