OUR CODE OF CONDUCT: BE KIND, BE RESPECTFUL, KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE.
This code of conduct applies to everyone who interacts with our brand, whether in our venues, at our event bars, or via our social media profiles.
Brew York is committed to keeping others safe from all kinds of harm caused by negative behaviour and experiences across all of our venues and other interactions with our brand.
We welcome all those who are respectful of and kind to all others regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion or belief, social class, health, age, disability, or any kind of difference at our events, in our brewery spaces, and at our bars.
We will not tolerate abusive, offensive or harassing behaviour of any person including but not limited to inappropriate language; touching, gesturing or posturing that causes offence or discomfort; or coercive behaviour where the behaviour is known or reasonably considered to be unwanted or unwelcome.
We have zero tolerance of all kinds of discriminatory language and behaviour relating to sexism, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, violence, or any other form of harassment.
Anyone who does not feel they can comply with this code of conduct is not welcome.
We invite you to call out negative behaviour should you witness or experience it, and we have systems in place to ensure it is appropriately dealt with (see below).
AT EVENTS
We will refuse to serve anyone we consider to not be complying with this code of conduct, and we will report specific incidents to the event organisers. If the organiser is Brew York, the perpetrator will be asked to leave immediately and will be barred from all other Brew York venues.
IN OUR VENUES
We want to make sure our venues are safe spaces for all our staff and customers. We will refuse to serve anyone we consider not to be complying with this code of conduct and they will be asked to leave immediately. They will be barred from all Brew York venues.
ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA
We expect everyone to interact online in the same respectful manner they would in person – both with each other and with the staff who manage our socials. We will remove any comments we feel go against our code of conduct and we reserve the right to remove, block, and/ or report any individuals should we feel it is appropriate to do so. Remember, behind the words on your screen are human beings. Be kind.
Should you witness or experience negative behaviour while in a Brew York space, either in person or online, please report it as soon as possible to one of our team or email info@brewyork.co.uk with details.
We will listen, believe, and take action.
