Brew York’s direct to consumer sales has grown significantly over the last 4 years and is now an extremely important strategic arm of the business.
We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about great beer and has a proven track record in retail sales as well as online sales who can help us deliver our sales targets and drive growth.
The role will be based from our giftshop in Walmgate, York and will be responsible for all the sales of beer and merchandise in person and online from our web shop. This is a varied role from ensuring a first class experience for customers visiting in person to excellent customer service when ordering from us online.
Providing insight into recommendations on what could drive online sales to how to more efficiently and effectively marketing our products on our website. Merchandising in store and keeping shelves fully stocked whilst identifying opportunities for new merchandise and product offerings utilising feedback from customer and market research. The more day to day tasks need performing consistently and to high standard, like serving customers, creating product listings online, managing subscriptions, packing web orders, setting staff rotas. But the role overall is to take the lead in driving ecommerce and in person sales.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Greet customers, ensure that they are dealt with efficiently, courteously, and promptly as possible.
- Developing training for shop/web shop assistants to ensure that they know what they should be focusing on, and they understand our offering so that they can help customers
- Ensure the gift shop is inviting and well stocked.
- Manage the day-to-day trading and execution of website strategy including packing website orders daily.
- Ensure website is updated promptly with new beers when available.
- Management and reporting of daily/weekly/monthly/annual trade, providing detailed analysis of key business drivers and producing actions plans to ensure sales and contribution targets are met
- Utilise available resources, analysing sales patterns to maintain commercial awareness, understanding of key competitors and customer behaviour
- Drive subscription boxes with ideas for loyalty gifts/promotions
- Collaborate with key stake holders to plan ecommerce trading strategy, lead the delivery and reporting of all on-site promotions and content activity
- Accountable for optimisation of site navigation, customer journey and product placement to maintain growth and drive online sales
- Work with marketing team to ensure product & trading strategies are supported by the digital marketing strategy for all channels
- Accountable for process of collating and improving product data and imagery, supporting teams to resolve any issues as quickly as possible to optimise online sales
Required Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
Experience in driving sales growth in B2C online digital commerce
Excellent analytical skills and confidence with business systems
Great customer service skills
Management experience
Experience of digital marketing and revenue generation within eCommerce environment
Microsoft office experience
Proven track record in retail management
