The brewery consists of a 20 hl Brewhouse and over 260 HL in Fermenting and Conditioning capacity. This gives us the ability to produce a core range of 6 beers and the flexibility to produce the more ‘out there’ seasonal and one-off beers that really excites us. Our beer is produced in Cask, Keg & Can and sold throughout the UK.
Having met on a friend's stag do, Wayne & Lee had a lot in common and a healthy taste for beer was top of the list. Several years later at the same friend’s bbq, the quality of Wayne’s home-brew produced using the ‘all grain method' sparked Lee’s 20 year old hobby back into life and a budding partnership was formed. Before you knew it they were regular brewing together at every opportunity. A few homebrew competitions and a debut at a friend’s wedding, gave the guys the right amount of confidence that what they were brewing had a lot of potential. Eventually the regularly occurring pub conversation of ‘what if we were to build our own brewery?!?!?’ became more than just a drunken pipe dream with the creation of Brew York.

Brewer & Events manager. When Lee’s not dreaming up or brewing new recipes, he’s giving Simon Cowell a run for his money in spotting the best music talent for upcoming tap room events.
Sales extraordinaire & chief kettle cleaner. When Aidan’s not selling the beer, he’s brushing up his brewing skills, learning the ropes and always first to volunteer to clean out the hops.
Mat is the newest member of the brewery team having worked at several Yorkshire breweries comes with plenty of experience. Barnsley through & through, you can spot Mat amongst us by his flat cap and outside of the brewery, his whippet.
Tom is the junior member of the brewery team and always gets all the good jobs.... A prolific Merch enthusiast, he has more brewery related freebies than Glen Balls
Tap Room Manager
Expert pint puller & brewery tour co-ordinator. Andy can usually be found behind the bar in the tap room each weekend, but his biggest passion is booking customers on brewery tours.
Tap Room Deputy Manager
Helps run the tap room and is our part time drayman. John is responsible for the team's obsession with beer cocktails and is also the handyman behind our reclaimed pallet wood beer garden.
